After the Artesian Hotel burned down in 1962, it was replaced by the Artesian Motor Hotel, which would later become the Chickasaw Nation's first tribally-owned business. Now, with an eye toward tourism opportunities in the area, the Nation is bringing back the landmark that drew visitors from far and wide over 100 years ago.
