The Chickasaw Nation's current three-department system of government was reaffirmed with the ratification of the 1983 Chickasaw Nation Constitution. Designed in pursuit of self-sufficiency and self-determination, the Chickasaw government's mission is to serve and enhance the overall quality of life of the Chickasaw people today and for generations to come.
