Juanita Tate's ancestors are alive in her heart, her imagination, her paintings and her book. Now 100 years old, Elder Juanita Tate has been researching and preserving her family history since she was a little girl. She's written a book and painted beautiful portraits of her own elders, elders like Edmund Pickens, the first elected governor of the Chickasaws. She's been so detailed and dedicated that the Oklahoma Historical Society has inducted her into the Historians Hall of Fame.
