The Chickasaw Nation holds its veterans in high regard. At a special event at WinStar World Casino this past month, the tribe recognized them for their service and contributions. The first annual Chickasaw Nation Veterans Conference and Warrior Luncheon welcomed service members from all branches of the military and saluted them as role models. Veterans came together to share their bond, celebrate their service and learn about a variety of veterans’ issues. Governor Anoatubby also unveiled a rendering of a new Veterans’ Lodge, to be situated by the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center in Ada.
