July 1, 2011 – Environmental Camp

Chickasaw Nation News

The Chickasaw Nation instills its children with a respect for the earth; at Environmental Camp, Chickasaw kids learn how the earth works and about their role in keeping her beautiful. Camp field trips include visits to the Ada Water Treatment Plant, the Oklahoma City Zoo and the Chickasaw Cultural Center. The students, ages eight to twelve, also learned about bugs and ecosystems and how to find a "treasure" with a compass. For more information, visit Chickasaw.net.
