December 15, 2011 - McSwain Theatre

Chickasaw Nation News

For more than 90 years, the McSwain Theatre in Ada has continued to celebrate talent and cultivate imagination in its many live shows, concerts, and movies. Opened in 1920 by Foster McSwain, the theatre became a movie premier destination in 1949 with the movie "Tulsa" starring Susan Hayward. In recent years, the Chickasaw Nation has taken the McSwain under its wing, and with renovations and expansions, has allowed it to become the popular setting for entertainment that it was — and continues to be today.
