Chickasaw youth photographer Masheli Billy is the fourth honoree in a special series about young artists who were recognized for their talents in NYC, earlier this spring. He explains how he enjoys telling the truth with his photos to help people connect with his native identity as well as the story or event he is trying to capture. Spontaneity is also important to his creative process, and it was that readiness that helped him capture a beautiful picture of an Oklahoma sunset over downtown. Masheli is always ready to take pictures and it is this attitude that helps his artistic potential grow.
