Chickasaw artist Erin Shaw may be new to the world of painting, but she’s certainly leaned in to the craft with full force. Though she studied studio art with an emphasis on graphic design at Baylor University, she never once considered painting – until five years ago, when, as she describes it, it just "poured out" of her. Vivid colors and sharp textures are primary aspects of her work. Inspired by her son's uninhibitedness and immense creativity, her art is also marked by a touch of whimsy.
