During the mid-1700s on the North American continent, France and England were fighting for colonial domination of the Americas, Caribbeans as well as India. The French, who were greatly outnumbered in America, relied on their Native American allies to help them, including the Choctaw, Miamia and Illinois tribes, among others.
The end of the war and the triumph of England meant the Chickasaws had survived France's attempt to destroy them. Following the war, the Chickasaw also established peace with the Choctaw, ending decades of conflict and fighting.
