Members of the Chickasaw Nation's environmental services accepted the 2013 Keep Oklahoma Beautiful Environmental Excellence Award in the Tribal Government category. They received this honor for the tribe’s community partnerships in disposing of household hazardous waste. Through the new year, the Chickasaw Cultural Center will continue its guest speaker lecture series on Chickasaw language, culture and history. Families are encouraged to attend the various events – from live entertainment, to concerts, to screenings of classic movies – taking place at the McSwain Theatre in Ada this year.
