The Chickasaw Nation Department of Health is now offering COVID-19 vaccinations to children ages 5 to 11. The drive-through vaccinations are available at the Emergency Operations Facility in Ada and clinics in Ardmore, Tishomingo and Purcell. Pre-registration is also required. Community health representatives play a vital role in helping Chickasaw citizens. Also known as CHRs, they travel to elders' homes for wellness visits, which include checking medication, blood pressure, blood sugar and oxygen levels. Ted Scribner, Executive Officer for the Division of Social Services, tells CNTV News about the importance of CHRs.

The Chickasaw Nation Winter Fruit and Vegetable Program provides healthy, fresh, dried and frozen fruits and vegetables each month from November to March, and is available to Chickasaw seniors age 55 and older, Chickasaw Warriors Society Members and Chickasaw citizens who are disabled. Quin continues her conversation with Chickasaw youth Laney Daniels, who overcame significant health challenges.
