In this episode of CNTV News, Brad Clonch and Quin Tran report on the latest news and updates from the Chickasaw Nation. Chickasaw youth are enjoying the rest of summer outdoors at a variety of Chickasaw Nation camps. First, Chickasaw children participated in a baseball camp held at Oklahoma City University, where they were coached by area high school and college coaches. Oklahoma City University was also the site of this summer's girls softball camp. Sports aren't the only featured camp this summer. FemSTEM showed girls how they can excel in math and science. The all-girls, weeklong interactive science, technology, engineering and mathematics workshop took place in Ada at the Chickasaw Nation STEM Academy and gave girls currently in or entering middle school a look into exciting careers in STEM fields. Next, Brad and Quin take us to Thackerville for a look at the Chickasaw Veterans Conference and the Chickasaw Elders Conference, which were both held at the WinStar Convention Center.
