To paraphrase Chickasaw Nation Governor Bill Anoatubby, each day is better than the last for the thriving Chickasaw Nation. In a seemingly endless renaissance, the Nation is continuing to improve the lives others while flourishing in a diminishing economy. Governor Anoatubby gave his State of the Nation address to a crowd that couldn't even be contained in Fletcher Auditorium at Murray State College. Anoatubby remarked how the assets of the Chickasaw Nation have grown to 200 times what they were in 1988. This exponential growth has given the tribe the ability to be fiscally secure, allowing them to do more for others. Governor Anoatubby said, "It allows us to fund more programs, operate at a higher level and make a greater difference for our people."
