Acclaimed Chickasaw composer and musician Jerod Impichchaachaaha Tate describes Native Americans’ strong cultural affinity for Pendleton blankets. The blanket serving as a backdrop is the first produced exclusively for the Chickasaw Nation, expected to become a series. It features a fish design by Chickasaw graphic artist and Language program director Joshua Hinson. The blanket is available at the Chickasaw Cultural Center’s Gallery Shop in Sulphur, Oklahoma.
