As participants in the Nation’s former Master-Apprentice program, Stanley Smith and Clovis Hamilton say they’re encouraged by the increasing interest in the revitalization of the Chickasaw language. Stanley, the “Master,” drove Clovis, the “Apprentice,” to learn new words every day and to incorporate them into their conversations.
