History lives on through live demonstrations at the Chickasaw Cultural Center. Here, Jeremy Wallace described stickball, as both a social game and as a way of settling disputes. The equipment can be distinguished between tribes, as different materials and styles were used by each to make the sticks and balls. Weather permitting, demonstrations are held daily – so come out and try one of the oldest known Native American games!
Jeremy’s life was tragically cut short in 2017, but his Chickasaw spirit will always be remembered.
