The Chickasaw Nation Division of Historic Preservation works to make sure stories from the original homelands are carried into future generations. Using cutting-edge GPS mapping technology, the Division keeps track of where historic Chickasaw homes, roads and treaty boundaries were so they can easily answer questions about the land. Protecting ancient burial grounds and cemeteries at the request of families is another important aspect of the Division’s work. For more information, visit Chickasaw.net.
