A Linguist's Appreciation of the Chickasaw Language

Pamela Munro

Pamela Munro is a linguistics professor at the University of California at Los Angeles. She believes the Chickasaw language is one of the most beautiful languages in the world and her life's work backs her belief.

Among other books, she is co-author (with speaker Catherine Willmond) of two Chickasaw language books--Chickasaw an Analytical Dictionary and a textbook, Lets Speak Chickasaw: Chikashshanompa' Kilanompoli'.

Both books are available through the Chickasaw Press.
