Shay Buchanan

Chickasaw citizen Shay Buchanan was the Oklahoma State Olympian of the Year at the 2007 Special Olympics state competition. In addition to being named State Olympian of the Year, she was also selected Area Olympian of the Year at the Ada Special Olympics in April 2007 and was honored as Special Olympian of the Month for May 2007 by the Oklahoma State Lottery. Shay attended Byng High School and competed in softball throw, the 50-meter dash and the 100-meter relay.
